Dr. Anjana Bhakta was born and raised in Texas, where her passion for optometry took root during her undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Dallas. 

Dr. Joyce Shiau’s interest in optometry began while working in the sales and marketing department for an optometry practice in Austin, TX. During this time, she discovered her joy for helping patients and later enrolled at University of Houston College of Optometry to pursue her passion for optometry.

Dr. Sara Thurston Reid received her Doctorate of Audiology from the University of Utah. Dr. Reid completed her externship in Boise, Idaho which gave her a versatile experience including diagnosis and treatment of hearing loss for all ages, evaluating balance disorders, and fitting hearing aids including bone-anchored hearing aids (BAHA).

Dr. Collett is a board-certified eye surgeon based in Texas who is passionate about optimizing vision and providing modern ophthalmic care. He focuses on cataract and ocular surface surgeries. As a results-driven physician, he is committed to achieving the best possible visual outcomes. His approach to cataract surgery includes highly tailored plans, often involving advanced technology intraocular implants (ATIOL) or microincision astigmatism corrections.

Kenneth has been working in optical for the past 10 +years, and he's found it exciting to navigate the many, many layers of the optical career world. He started his journey as a frame stylist, learning to find the style in frames before learning the optics and function behind the lenses as an optician.

Nicole Fuentes is a dedicated professional with a diverse background. With 15 years experience in the optical field and 15 years of expertise in education, she brings a wealth of knoweldge and skills to her career. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Nicole is a loving mother to two teenagers and a devoted wife.

Tiffany is the Office Manager of our Sealy location. With a background in the optical industry since 2017, she has gained extensive experience in various roles, including technician, lab technician, and optician.

Hailey recently graduated high school and is balancing her time as a full-time student while working two jobs.

Liz works at our Sealy office. She is a seasoned optician with over 8 years of experience in the optical industry.

Peggy is a distinguished Board-Certified Doctor of Nursing Practice with a career spanning over a decade. She dedicated her first 10 years to bedside nursing, followed by 7 years as a Nurse Practitioner, and has over 6 years of specialized experience in Aesthetics.
 

Thuyanh has been in the healthcare field since 2021 & recently joined the Pupila team after moving from Nebraska. With an extensive background, Thuyanh has played many roles in optometry, but her favorite aspect is connecting with patients & providing them with the best care possible. In her free time, Thuyanh enjoys an active lifestyle by working out, spending time with her partner & animals, & indulging her coffee addiction by exploring all of Houston’s best local coffee shops.
