Dr. David Dinh was born and raised in Houston, Texas. As a Houston born native, Dr. Dinh believes in impacting lives through providing love, understanding, and community service through eye care. Dr. Dinh is a therapeutic optometrist, glaucoma specialist, and an expert in specialty contact lenses (sclerals, orthokeratology, gas permeables, hybrids). Dr. Dinh is a member of the Texas Optometric Association and American Optometric Association.
Dr. Dinh graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology with a minor in Biology at the University of Houston with honors. Dr. Dinh obtained his Doctorate at the University of Houston.
Dr. Dinh completed his externship training at Memorial Eye Center, where he fitted a variety of sclerals contact lenses. Dr. Dinh also had an extensive ocular disease training at the heights eye clinic, managing glaucoma and diabetes. At this clinic, Dr. Dinh worked with a variety of Spanish speaking patients, completing eye exams in Spanish. Dr. Dinh also volunteered with See to Succeed, providing free eye exam for school-age children in underserved Houston school districts.
After his doctorate training, Dr. Dinh completed a residency specializing in Cornea and Contact Lenses at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Dinh managed a variety of corneal conditions such as keratoconus, ectasias, neutrophic keratitis, and corneal grafts. Dr. Dinh also manage LASIK and cataract post-operations. Dr. Dinh fits a variety of scleral lenses for different corneal conditions as well as prosthetics for disfigured eyes. Dr. Dinh also fits specialty contacts such as:

He also specializes in myopia control and dry eye management.
Dr. Dinh believes in educating doctors and patients on specialty fits and corneal conditions. Dr. Dinh has presented in specialty contact conferences such as Global Specialty Lens Symposium, American Academy of Optometry, and International Conference of Scleral Lenses.
Dr. Dinh speaks English and Vietnamese fluently. He can also conduct eye exams in Spanish. In his spare time, Dr. Dinh loves to workout, travel to asia, meet new people, and spending time with family and friends. He has a pet cat name oreo.
